Are We Educated? The Missed Education Of The Filipinos!
Today, in chaotic Philippines, we find extremely easy to criticize, cuss and/or condemn. When confronted with negative news, we find extremely difficult, if not impossible, to contemplate or consider alternatives.
So, as a teacher, I continue to Inspire for the
Positives!
This article
follows my immediately previous one, “Rewriting Albert Einstein’s Equation
E=mc2 Into frankEinstein's fE=mc2 – For The Infinitesimal Energy Of Love!” (26
Oct 2024, The Editor In Chief, blogspot.com). FrankEinstein:
fE = mc2, where m = meanings and c2 = creativity
multiplied by genius. (Play of words; reality: my genius
is creative thinking.)
Now then, for the
infinitesimal energy of Love, at least Like, I teacher prescribe
that our Philippine educational institutions from Grade School to Grad School teach and strengthen our individual human
multiple intelligences (MI), or smarts, as conceptualized by Harvard
psychology professor Howard Gardner:
1. Bodily-Kinesthetic Intelligence (“Body Smart”)
2. Creative Intelligence (“Thinking Smart”), added by FAH
3. Existential Intelligence (“Life Smart”)
4. Interpersonal Intelligence (“People Smart”)
5. Intrapersonal Intelligence (“Self Smart”)
6. Mathematical-Logical Intelligence (“Number/Reasoning Smart”)
7. Musical Intelligence (“Music Smart”)
8. Naturalist Intelligence (“Nature Smart”)
9. Spatial Intelligence (“Image Smart”)
10. Verbal-Linguistic Intelligence (“Word Smart”).
Great! There is a hidden
intelligence or genius in each of us
that is ours for the learning, strengthening, using for good.
So, instead of practicing only criticism, using “Mathematical-Logical
Intelligence” (“Number/Reasoning Smart”), when confronted by a negative event,
incident or information, we can turn on our genius and be productive and
pleased by our thoughts and actions!

How great thou
art, Multiple Intelligences!
JAQ, my friend
moves and has been moved by so many and so much negative developments that he
wishes I would write and write about them: corruption in government, gargantuan
failures in leadership, nepotism, political dynasties, power-hungry politicians
or non-politicians – whatnots.
Not for me anymore
the negativism, “an attitude of mind marked by skepticism especially
about nearly everything affirmed by others” (Merriam-Webster
Dictionary, merriam-webster.com). I am not suggesting that we end our friendship,
only that you end your Negativism, my friend!
Filipino
politicians, the likes of whom you can read about in the media anytime, preach
and practice what they learned from earlier politicians of the Philippines. Miseducation!
Meanwhile, I have
been preaching counter to the negative that is being objected to or rejected by
many, especially the vociferous “Opposition” and loud-mouth activists. In my
favored area of writing, which is Agriculture, you can say that I favor
the genius of Naturalist Intelligence,
and thus I have been inviting people to think beyond the current agriculture to
shift to “Regenerative Agriculture” practices

(4) Green Manuring, (5) Intercropping, (6) Multiple Cropping, (7) No-Till
Farming, (8) Organic Fertilization, (9) Ratooning, (10) Rotational Grazing,
(11) “Three Sisters” Planting, (12) Trap Cropping, (13) Trash Mulching.
Problem: That Gardner’s Theory of MI is not being studied/utilized in the
Philippines, from Grade School to Grad School – sorry to say, but our educators
are not paying attention to genius!@517
