Inspired by the above boxed quote, with my new educational theory of individual mixed intelligences (iMI), anywhere we can have multiple intelligences (MI) developed not only independently but simultaneously and synergistically! We don’t have to identify those intelligences – we just have to learn how to use them to their max singly and/or mixed! No Student Life Could Be Boring, High School Or College, Learning With Multiple Intelligences!

Well, first of all, our high schools and colleges in the Philippines have to learn Multiple Intelligences (MI) before they can teach it to their students. ( gettyimages.com , sg.images.search.yahoo.com ) Let me be your inspiration. I am already 85 years old. All by myself, I can type, write, edit, desktop publish, and blog using the personal computer (PC) desktop or laptop – mind you, I taught myself all of those skills! I am a teacher, And truth to tell, I learned all those digital skills by myself along the way, starting Innocents Day 28 Dec 1980, when I was already 40 years old. When a girl showed me a manual of Wordstar 1 , I began typing the whole thing and copied it on my diskette so I did not have to bother her again. Not that Filipino teachers are dull but that the subjects they teach are dull, each one of them – they contain no inner challenges to the innate multiple intelligencies of students – challenges from head to foot. I came across the theory of Multiple Intelligences (MI) by Harvard psychology professor Howard Gardner when in 2001 I learned about the MI-based Cahbriba Alternative School the secondary school founded by husband-wife Cielito & Pilar Habito in Laguna. How can I forget that when my wife Ampy and I sent 3 of our children to study at Cahbriba: Neenah, Edwin & Ela ! All things considered, I am after all an Agriculturist, a graduate of UP Los Baños , 1965, BSA major in Ag Edu . And I have been blogging about agriculture since I can remember: 2000, using the blogging program WordPress.com . Today, I use Blogger.com . I have changed my digital world – but the terrestrial world of millions of poor Filipino farmers have not!   Though I have not been there, my favorite school right now is “ Potter’s Place School ” in El Nido, Palawan. Yes, The Tourist Spot. Guide To The Philippines says, it is “One of the best island destinations in the world” ( guidetothephilippines.ph ). This time, we are going there as learners and/or teachers, to visit “ Potter’s Place School ” – because? Because: (1). As teacher, I want to help Potter’s Place achieve more for the children in terms of sharpening their individual talents via Multiple Intelligences (MI). Today, in chaotic Philippines, we find extremely easy to criticize, cuss and/or condemn. When confronted with negative news, we find extremely difficult, if not impossible, to contemplate or consider alternatives. So, as a teacher, I continue to Inspire for the Positives! How Do You Write An Autobiography For Another Person? Good Question! You Ask Questions And Listen

I am a very creative person, but I never met a problematic assignment that requires you to produce an autobiography out of interviews! Many interviews. Afterwards, you rewrite and/or rephrase those interviews into a monologue so that it appears that someone, the person who commissioned you to do the writing, becomes the source of those words, becomes the author. A commissioned autobiography. (top imag e from in2english.net , bottom image from blog. reedsy.com ) Turning into an autobiography a monologue or somebody else’s story told live to somebody else (like you) – they don’t teach that is any writing class, amateur or master. You’ll have to be very creative about it! Now, the question is, “How creative are you?” The problem is: How can you write someone else’s story so that it becomes “My story” when in fact you start with “Her story” or “His story”? You have to be creative. You have to forget yourself, really, and think like the would-be author of her/his autobiography. And th...

Repeat after me! I teacher cannot repeat enough – whoever you are: (1) As an individual, you are better off if you cultivate/are cultivating your individual talent or intelligence that you personally discovered within yourself – or somebody else noticed it and encouraged you. (2) As a parent, you should discover and encourage your children to develop their individual talents.
