Presenting! Filipino Writer Frank A Hilario’s August 2025 New “Theory Of Individuals’ Multiple Intelligences” (iMI), Thereby Magnifying American Psychology Professor Howard Gardner’s Multiple Intelligences (MI)

Inspired by the above boxed quote, with my new educational theory of individual mixed intelligences (iMI), anywhere we can have multiple intelligences (MI) developed not only independently but simultaneously and synergistically! We don’t have to identify those intelligences – we just have to learn how to use them to their max singly and/or mixed!

That’s a list of 4 separate talents in 4 separate individuals –
in my different list.
Or 1 single individual with 4 separate talents.

Natural multi-talents are not unknown in any culture.

Now then, to multiply the power of the MI theory of Gardner and produce in fact multi-talents in each individual student following my iMI theory:

Teacher:
See to it that you have talent-generating exercises in class in:
discussions,
mathematics,
English,
history,
logic,
creativity,
physical development,
etc

Not necessarily in that order, just that your class do those all at any one time or at least within a week, any week, or any number of weeks. You can go back to a topic any time.

Doesn’t iMI make any kind of studying exciting!!!

Intelligences, plural! “Walang inggitan” (No jealousies) – what someone is good at, let it be. Go find what you are good at, with or without somebody else, and sharpen it!

“Multiple involvements will reveal your own multiple intelligences, plural.”

That is all to say that in Modern Teaching, what teachers should be involved in more is what thinking methods to teach, Not what to memorize.

“Don’t ask students to memorize facts they can google. Teach them to think, feel, build, and act.”

If I were in class, this is how I would teach my students how to THiNK:

True?
Helpful?
Inspiring?
Necessary?
Kind?

THINK! 

All the time, I teach THINKing!

Gardner’s MI individualizes thinking and learning – Hilario’s iMI is decidedly social or done with others, to benefit all participants at the same time! It should always be THiNK! MI.

We should in class or in any group cultivate multiple intelligences – and get that group with such a collection of MI working for the public good, not only for those members of the group!

What is intelligence? What is MI? Mr Gardner defines intelligence as a “biopsychological potential to process information that can be activated in a cultural setting to solve problems or create products that are of value in a culture” (Michele Marinus, 26 March 2025, “Gardner’s Theory of Multiple Intelligences,” Simply Psychology).

To multiply the value of Multiple Intelligences, we must not simply assign an intelligence to a single individual but a multiple of intelligences to an individual, and to a group of any number of individuals!

Intelligences are for working with, not counting!
